Jen'der Coconut Milk Soap!

It's no secret that I love all things coconut. I use coconut in smoothies, in preparing foods, for skincare, and for haircare. So, when I learned that there was a company that makes coconut milk soap, I was thrilled. Even better, they're local!

The soap is called Jen'der and it's made by Possum Hollow Farm Soap. Possum Hollow Farm is a small family business in Bucks and Lehigh Counties, here in Pennsylvania. I asked about the name, and the owner said that they wanted to make soaps for either gender, and they chose the name Jen'der because it's a combination of his wife's name, Jennifer, and his name, Derek.

All of the Jen'der soaps are completely natural without any artificial additives, colors, fragrances, or preservatives. They are 100% vegan, and the soaps that we carry are all gluten-free (with the exception of the gift boxes, which may contain Citrus Oatmeal Spice, which is not gluten-free). None of their products are tested on animals.

In addition to the coconut milk, Jen'der soaps are made with a blend of saponified coconut oil, olive oil, palm oil, palm kernel oil, and shea butter, plus various flowers, herbs, and essential oils. The essential oils are blended to provide both different scents and different benefits. The soaps are mild, gentle, and moisturizing.

The first thing I noticed about the Jen'der soaps is that they're the biggest bars I've ever seen! They've wrapped in fabric and, when opened, the bars themselves are beautifully cut.

My favorite is the Citrus Spice, simply because the smell is amazing! It's a blend of orange, lemon, and grapefruit with a touch of ground nutmeg. I also love the Vanilla Bean, which is a gentle exfoliating bar. The Spearmint is great, too and is so refreshing! There's a Eucalyptus Lavender Soap with Organic Sea Kelp and French Green Clay that can be used as a shaving bar or a regular bathing bar. We also have Lavender, Lemongrass Vanilla, and Unscented.

One of the products I like best is the Jen'der Sample Gift Box. It features six small bars of soap, each a different popular variety. The bars are individually wrapped in beautiful fabric and come in an environmentally friendly box tied with pretty raffia. This makes a great gift, or you may decide to treat yourself to one! These bars are perfect for travel or for sampling different varieties. Each box contains six preselected soaps, and, in addition to the varieties we carry, they may contain: Citrus Lavender, Citrus Mint, Citrus Oatmeal Spice, Eucalyptus Lavender & Citrus, Eucalyptus Mint, Eucalyptus Mint & Lemongrass, Lavender Mint, Matcha Green Tea & Lemongrass, Rosemary Lavender, Rosemary Mint, Splavender Mint, and Tea Tree Mint.

New Lifefactory 16-oz Glass Water Bottles

We just got the brand new Lifefactory 16-ounce glass drinking bottles in, and we love them already! They're the same style as the 22-oz bottles, but they're shorter and have a smaller footprint, which means they fit better in the cup holders in cars. They're obviously a little bit lighter than the 22-ounce bottles, and they have the same great contour in the middle of the bottle that makes them so comfortable to hold.

They come in some new colors, including turquoise, graphite, and raspberry. They also come in royal purple, spring green, and pearl white.

In addition to water, these bottles are great for smoothies and fresh juices because they're so easy to clean.

Our older kids think that these are the perfect size for them, and they love the new colors, too.

Next up are sippy cup tops for the 9-ounce bottles, which are due out next month. Sports tops for the 16 and 22-oz bottles should be available next March.

Goraw Super Chips and Super Cookies

We've added some other new products to our lineup:
Goraw Super Chips and Super Cookies!

We have two varieties of chips: Spirulina and Pumpkin. We also have two varieties of cookies: Original and Chocolate. I'm still not certain exactly what the difference is between the chips and the cookies. They look the same to me!

I expected the chips to be salty but they're both sweet. The Spirulina taste like banana with that cool green spirulina color. I thought that the Pumpkin were going to have a pumpkin pie spice flavor, but they're a sweet snack made with (sprouted!) pumpkin seeds.

Both cookies are good, although I prefer the Original. Nick likes the Chocolate better, so it's all just a matter of personal preference.

We both like the fact that they're dehydrated at under 105 degrees, they're vegan, they're organic, and they're free of refined sugars, wheat, gluten, oils, dairy, and nuts. They have no GMO's or trans fats. They're made by hand in an all-raw kitchen. The company is working on biodegradable packaging, which is much appreciated.

We recently attended a day-long conference, and these were great little snacks to toss in our bag. They're small, lightweight, and were a quick, easy snack to munch on throughout the day. The manufacturer says that refrigeration is not mandatory but will keep the product fresher longer.
