Our Creamed Raw Honey

We have been so busy making and selling our Creamed Raw Honey that I haven't had much time to blog about it!

Nick came up with the idea of making creamed honey because we love the versatility of it.  The only problem was that conventional creamed honey is made by a process that involves heating the honey and adding an outside pre-made seed honey.  Nick didn't want to destroy all of the valuable nutrients and enzymes in the honey, so he came up with a proprietary process to make creamed honey without heating it.  The result is a local raw creamed honey that is delicious and has retained all of its health benefits.

From there, we tried adding different natural flavors to the honey.  All of the flavors are raw, and all except the vanilla are organic.  At this time, we offer:

Vanilla (made with whole vanilla beans)

Chocolate (made with organic raw cacao)

Mint (coming soon to the website)

Lemon (coming soon to the website)

Blackberry  (coming soon to the website)

We're often asked how to use the honey.  The possibilities are endless!  Honestly, as the Chief Flavor Taster, I can tell you that it's delicious all by itself!  Here are some other ways we like it, and some that others have shared with us:

Stir into hot tea

Spoon over granola

Stir into oatmeal or other hot cereal

Spread on toast, bagels, rolls, English muffins,
alone or with organic butter or Earth Balance

Spread on muffins or cornbread

Spread the chocolate creamed honey on graham crackers

Spread any of the fruit flavored creamed honeys
on pancakes, waffles, or French toast

Make peanut butter or SunButter and
creamed honey sandwiches

Make banana, peanut butter of SunButter and
creamed honey sandwiches

Use as a dip for apples or other fruit
(People love the chocolate creamed honey with fruit!)

Mix the ginger or the plain creamed honey
with mustard to make honey mustard

The cinnamon creamed honey is absolutely delicious
as a dip for soft pretzels

We love to stir a tablespoon of the ginger creamed honey,
mixed with a little water and cornstarch, into stir-fries

The cinnamon creamed honey is amazing
spooned over vanilla ice cream or nondairy ice cream

Spread a little bit of the mint creamed honey
onto a piece of chocolate for an amazing treat

I take a spoonful of the cinnamon creamed honey
when I have a sore throat or feel a cold coming on

I also stir the ginger creamed honey with some
lemon juice into hot tea when I'm under the weather

Use the ginger creamed honey as a glaze for chicken or salmon

Serve a small bowl of the ginger creamed honey
with chicken or salmon as a dip

Try our creamed honey and let us know your favorite way to eat it!
